Souverän® is the classic from Pelikan. The production of the subtly striped shaft in anthracite is elaborate, because according to a formula specially developed for Pelikan a striped piece of material is made from cotton material in many steps, which is bent, sanded and then cut with a diamond on contour. The palladium rings on the filling handle and cap are fitted with the utmost precision, resulting in a virtually seamless transition between materials before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The slightly springy typical Pelikan beak clip gives this high-quality writing instrument its distinctive design.
